What is a Trunk Show and Why Should I Care?
You know, before we all started working here at Bella Brides none of us knew what a trunk show was either. But we’re super excited about our upcoming Maggie Sottero Trunk Show (happening this October 12-26!), so in the spirit of the event, we want to share more about what on earth a trunk show even is, and why you should care as a bride looking for her unique wedding dress!

A Sneak Peak at the Next Season
Designers are always working on creating the next season of dresses, discovering what past trends have to offer and looking to the future to new trends that are rising up in the fashion world! The newest season of dress styles is always about 6-8 months away from being formally released to the public. What does this mean for you? It means when you book your bridal appointment during a trunk show, you get this one exclusive chance to try on gowns that are BRAND-NEW and won’t be available to order again for another 6 months at the least!
An Exclusive Dress
The newest season of dresses has almost never been tried on by any bride before – if ever! – so when you come to your Trunk Show appointment, you get to try on literal brand-new styles that most people haven’t even seen yet, even if they follow a particular designer. This is an incredible opportunity to find a unique dress by your favorite designer! When you say Yes to a trunk show dress, you’re saying Yes to a gown that very few other brides will have even seen in your area!
Opportunity to Order
With all our regular collection, we can place dress orders for you to get a dress you love in the size that fits most comfortably – and often, in different colors and with customization options, like more or less sparkle, slit or no slit, and more! The good news is that we can still place dress orders on trunk show gowns, so if you find something you love but are curious if it comes in different colors or customization options, chat with your stylist and we are more than happy to look up the options and find the customizations that feel right for you!
Our Advice? Be Ready to Find THE Dress
Trunk shows commonly only last for one weekend. We got lucky with this incredible trunk show taking place from October 12-26, but keep in mind, these gowns will ONLY be available to order until October 26. After 5pm on October 26, we will NO longer be able to place orders on any trunk show dresses, so if you find one you love, make sure not to waste any time and place your dress order as soon as possible (we’d hate for you to miss out on your dress if you wait just a little too long to order)! Saying Yes is a big deal and our stylists are highly trained to make sure you feel confident when you say Yes to your dress!
