So you got the dress of your dreams and now you’re looking for accessories to complete your gorgeous look! We’ve got you!! Veils are one of those accessories that truly complete a bridal look (and they look AMAZING in wedding photos!). Whether you’re 100% sure you want a veil or you’re on the fence about it, we’re here to fill you in on all the veil options available here at Bella Brides.
With veils, typically people go with two main options: cathedral-length veils and fingertip-length veils. The cathedral-length veil tends to be about 10-12 feet long and drapes right to the edge or past the train of your wedding dress. This is the way to go if you want ALL the beauty and drama to complete your wedding look! Most of our veils are totally lightweight, so you still get that dreamy romance as well!

The shorter option is the fingertip-length veil, which extends (you guessed it) to your fingertips! It floats just around your hips and is a stunning option if you’d prefer an accessory that doesn’t lay on the ground. It’s just a touch of veil.

Either style of veil can come with a blusher–this is the piece of tulle you see that drapes in front of the bride’s face and is pulled away from her face for the first kiss as a married couple. Veils do NOT have to come with blushers, but if it’s something you’re interested in, it can be a beautiful photo prop and look absolutely gorgeous with your dress on the big day.

Veils come in a TON of different colors and styles! Consider whether you want the lace on your veil to match the lace on your dress, or if you would like the elegance of scattered pearls to complement the shine on a satin dress. A blush-colored veil might be the perfect companion to a dress with blush undertones, and a black veil could flawlessly heighten the drama of a gorgeous black wedding dress (or SUPER stand out with a white wedding dress!). Think about what aspects of your dress you want to highlight and use your veil to complement them!

Pro Tip: While wearing your veil, when your guests hug you, slightly tuck your chin toward your chest as you hug them back. This will keep their arms from accidentally pulling your veil out of your hair and will make sure everything stays properly in place!
