Why You NEED to Steam Your Wedding Dress
Picture this: your wedding day was a beautiful blur of joyful memories, amazing food, and the best company you could ask for. You’re now waiting eagerly for your wedding photo album to be sent over by your photographer. When the link finally shows up in your inbox, you immediately sit down to admire all your wedding photos, but something catches your attention: your dress. You can’t help but notice in the sunlight, it looks really wrinkly, and what’s worse? It looks that way in EVERY picture, and now that you’ve noticed your dress’s wrinkles, you’re noticing the wrinkles in all your bridesmaids’ dresses, too.
How can you avoid this situation happening at your wedding? If you want to make sure your dress is as wrinkle-free and elegant-looking as possible, it is SUPER important to make sure you steam ALL the wrinkles out of it right before your wedding. We’re sure you can spot the difference. Steaming is a difficult process, especially when working with different types of fabric. Some can take much, much longer than others, which is why you have to plan ahead when thinking of steaming your dress. We know you probably don’t want to be running a steamer back and forth over your dress for hours and hours right before your ceremony, and your bridesmaids might not have the time for it, either. That’s why we offer our On-Site Steaming services, as well as a Wedding Week Drop-Off option, to help take the steaming burden off your shoulders. We will make your dress (and your veil) look PERFECT for your wedding day, as well as some of your wedding party attire with our On-Site options.
Pro Tip: Once your wedding attire is steamed, it is really important to make sure you hang it up in a closet, a doorframe, or lay it out flat on a bed or a clean, snag-free surface so no wrinkles collect from the garments being folded or bunched anywhere before the wedding. Some fabrics do wrinkle faster than others, and will begin to wrinkle the moment you put them on and start to move around and sit in them, so bear that in mind when looking at your dress throughout the day. Natural wrinkles are one thing–but all-over wrinkles from being scrunched up in a bag are another thing entirely, and those second kind of wrinkles can ruin your wedding photos if you don’t take the time to steam them out before the ceremony.

All-Inclusive On-Site Steaming – $450
Our all-inclusive option is perfect for anyone anticipating a crazy busy wedding week who wants the most help getting all wedding attire picture-perfect for the big day! The All-Inclusive On-Site Steaming includes:
Formal steam of each layer of wedding dress + veil at the venue
Full steam of bridesmaids’ + mothers’ dresses - Limit 7 ($15 per extra garment)
Wardrobe assistance for suits – folding pocket squares, tying ties, touch up steaming, etc.
On-Site Steaming – $225
This option works best for those who have busier wedding weeks and would like a little more assistance getting all the wedding attire ready for ALL the pictures! The On-Site Steaming includes:
Formal steam of each layer of wedding dress + veil at the venue
Dress stays perfect, hanging at your venue, until the bride puts it on day-of
Dress never goes back in bag and stays completely wrinkle-free
Wedding Week Steam – $85
Perfect for when you’re anticipating a more relaxed week leading up to your wedding, our wedding week steam is a great option when you have more time to spare picking up and dropping off your dress! The Wedding Week Steam includes:
A formal steam of each layer of wedding dress and veil AT Bella Brides
You drop off the dress the week before the wedding + pick up the day before the wedding
Be sure to arrange for someone to transport the dress directly to getting-ready suite so that the dress stays wrinkle-free
